PickUp Digital

PickUp Digital came to us looking for a refinement/redesign of their logo and branding.

Mike, the founder of PickUp Digital, is a keen guitarist so had named his company after the ‘pickup’ on a guitar, which also links nicely to the digital marketing services he offers, in terms of picking up more leads and conversions.

I thought this was a really clever idea behind the brand name so wanted to make sure this showed through in the design of the brand identity.

I started with the outline of the guitar pickup shape which conveniently had a line of dots. Mike was keen to keep the orange from his original logo, so I expanded the brand palette into a traffic light colour scheme to show an idea of improvement through the dots. I figured Mike could also use this in his spreadsheets and monthly reporting for brand consistency.

The logo text sits in a bold, sans serif fong with an upwards arrow on the U to continue the idea of improvement and upwards trends. Once complete, we created full brand guidelines and thumbnail logos to give PickUp Digital everything they need to apply their branding successfully going forwards. We also created an animated version of the logo for a professional intro to brand videos.

I’m really pleased with how the PickUp Digital branding turned out and think it gives a sharp, clean visual to support the great work that they do.
